Farmers market has more than just food
When Angela Ielasi and her husband, Steve, first moved to Athens from Australia a few years ago, they were starting over. While her husband was looking for a job, Ielasi made earrings. "I ended up with lots of extra earrings, so I got on the Internet to find a place to sell them," Ielasi said.
Farm-City Tour shows off sustainable agriculture
Nearly 50 participants took part in this year's Oconee County Farm-City Tour, receiving up-close-and-personal glimpses of sustainable agriculture, inventive artisans and the community's only dairy operation.

The annual vendors' meeting of the Oconee Farmers Market will take place at 5 p.m. Sunday in the meeting room of the Oconee County Library.
